The view from our room was amazing. My biggest complaint was the neighbour letting their kids run completely wild until 11pm, but that was not the fault of the hotel.

So much to do and see with Canmore being your base.
So much to do and see with Canmore being your base. It’s an easy quick trip to Banff without the hoards of tourists that are in Banff. Canmore has a cosy downtown with lots of activities in the surrounding area. It’s a great area to stay in!
Visited Grizzly Paw Brewing Company, Murriettas and Bridgette. All had great service!
Stayed in private owner suite at Solara. Young child friendly pool and huge hot tub area. Has a small restaurant and a liquor store.
Twilight Soak at Nordic Spa in Kananaskis area was fun and relaxing!

Canmore is a great little town right in the heart of the rockies. It is very close to Banff, without the cost of staying right in Banff. It is close to many outdoor activities for both summer and winter. Both Lake Louise and Sunshine Village ski resorts are within an hour. There are lots of hiking opportunities with some even starting in town. We have enjoyed many of the local restaurants, and there is a lot of variety to please any palate. While it can sometimes get busy, it is easy to get around and easily walkable for most people.

It is a lovely town with world-class views of the rocky almost on your doorstep on both sides. It's not as busy or touristy as Banff and it has some wonderful shops. It has two supermarkets both offering a massive choice of goods, and plenty of restaurants. There is the Nordic Centre which is brilliant for hiking in summer and cross-country trails in winter. I could easily live there. The only downside is that it is expensive, as is Canada in general.

I'm not sure what there is to do in Canmore, been there may times and never once done anything worth remembering. I've heard there are caves and great hiking trails. Unfortunately nothing is well marked and haven't stumbled across them yet.
This is the place to be. I’ve stayed all over the world and this hotel is one of the best experiences. Everything from the warm welcome to the crackling wood fire, to the friendly bar staff at the amazing restaurant, to even the aesthetic and room decor. Unless you have “Lambourghini Money” to burn, don’t bother staying in Banff or Lake Louise; stay here and chill and enjoy a scenic 20 minute drive to Banff every morning to explore the Rockies. Stop scrolling and just book your stay here now.
All the staff we encountered were extremely pleasant and nice. The hotel is being renovated and I'm not sure how much is complete, but our room looked fantastic - very modern and fresh. Although it's not in a very quiet location (like almost ALL accom in Canmore) we didn't hear the noise from the railway or highway at all. Inside the hotel it's quite quiet, although the room doors are a little on the clunky side.
This is a quaint little hotel, older, and its location is phenomenal. Unlike the bigger chain hotels of Canmore, from the Drake Hotel you can easily walk to the downtown area and, even better, the wildlife walk, just minutes away. The beds were comfortable and they were very helpful at the restaurant when we wanted to borrow cutlery for our take-out. The view from the room was lovely.
Room was very clean and had a nice, modern washroom. The staff were very friendly and the pool and hot tub were quite comfortable, with a nice view of the mountains. The hotel is conveniently located just a few minutes drive away from the downtown core of Canmore, which is nice, and the fact that it is near the railway tracks is no problem at all, the walls are as if soundproof!
From the moment we arrived the venue has been outstanding ! This family business gives attention to the detail and will make your stay such a pleasure. We stayed at 10 locations on our visit to Canada and this stay was by far the best. we couldn’t have asked for more, from Daniel the chef and his partner, to Caroline making our stay so memorable. Thank you Creekside Villa!
We opt to stay at Canmore instead of Banff, mainly because of the cost, even tough we focused on the Banff park. We were satisfied with this choice. The inn is very spacious, well-located (if you have a car, of course) and they are worried about the cleaness - the guests need to leave their shoes outside and use slippers provided by the place.
Bus stop outside of hotel with direct bus to Banff. Town centre had lots of shops and restaurants. Canmore is a beautiful town and had its own stunning hikes that are well worth doing. Nice to stay away from the hustle and bustle and crowds in Banff. Great views of railway and mountains. Room stocked with tea and coffee
Comfort the amenities and location. Spring Creek has its own grocery store and cafe which were both lovely
High specification with luxury appliances. Would highly recommend. Preferred Canmore to Banff as it was less touristy. Within walking distance to Downtown with good choice of bars and shops.
The hotel was very nice and quite modern considering the other options around Banff/Canmore area. We booked here last minute for 9 nights and it was great, the location was great, service great and food from room service also great!
A lovely hotel, quaint layout, has a very "Rockies" feel to it and the decor to match. Situated in the west end of Canmore, it has easy access to and from the freeway although you couldn't hear the freeway traffic at all.
Loved the 2 bed condo for the 4 of us. Conveniently located for getting buses to Banff and Calgary or strolling into Canmore town centre. Facilities included a swimming pool and hot tubs, which was very pleasant.
It had pretty standard hotel amenities: shampoo and stuff, tv etc. It was cheap. Bed wasn't bad. It is an older motel, but they're clearly taking steps to update it (new carpets and stuff).
We used the swimming pool at the adjoining hotel lots-
Nice to have that. The room was well appointed- we could have eaten every meal if we chose to in the condo- had everything we needed.
I was blown away with this place ! The price was so reasonable especially for the location and the hotel room was huge ! I’ll be booking here anytime i come to Canmore from now on
